Could you tell us about yourself and your work?
I am Dr. Rajani K S. I am a life coach, career counsellor, educator, researcher, author and motivational speaker.
I hold a Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology with research experience in anti-cancer studies. I am a gold medallist in my Master’s degree. I am a certified Life Coach and a certified Career Counsellor. I have published research articles in reputed science journals and have authored a popular bioscience book ‘Adventures of Microbe Explorers’. In addition, I have given motivational talks at schools and colleges in several states.
I have over 15 years of rich teaching experience as an educator, Head of the department and Coordinator, having taught over 5000 students who have chosen to be doctors, dentists, scientists, researchers, or pursue other bright careers. In addition, given my passion for science and love for students, I have delivered over 300 science talks, keynote addresses and hands-on demonstrations to inspire and excite kids, pre-teens and teenagers about science. Over this time, I have guided hundreds of students and young working professionals to resolve their critical questions of life, have groomed their life skills and helped them make appropriate life decisions to become successful and happy individuals.
With the insights I have gathered from this rich experience, I have founded two initiatives with well-defined visions to help and support a wider circle of people with similar needs – Rajani’s BioHub and Rajani’s LifeHub.
How you and your service is helping society?
With Rajani’s BioHub, I leverage my skills as a teacher with a proven track record and as a career counsellor to empower students to gain a firm grounding in biological Sciences, inculcate a deep interest in science, provide clarity on prospective careers, and enable them to crack highly competitive exams like NEET, JIPMER, CMC, etc. In addition, I help them develop the ability to cope with pressure, enhance their grit, confidence and consistency, master time management, improve reading speed and memory retention, and take effective action.
With Rajani’s LifeHub, I support teenagers and working professionals – both men and women – to discover their true potential and excel in the field they are passionate about. I help them with tools, techniques and mindset changes necessary to find clarity and courage, to build consistency, monetize their talent, move up the career ladder, acquire economic freedom, improve relationships, develop effective communication and, in short, develop life skills and lead happy and successful lives.

What are your Vision and Mission?
My vision is to enable, empower and enhance excellence.
My mission for Rajani’s BioHub is to empower 1,00,000 students to acquire a firm grounding in bioscience, crack competitive medical exams and excel in medical careers.
My mission for Rajani’s LifeHub is to support 1,00,000 people to live happy, confident, resilient, courageous and purposeful lives with abundance.
My CSR objective: to build an educational institute with an ambiance to stimulate a winner mindset, creative thinking, analytical ability, and ethical impulse for homeless children, to create a care home for older adults and to provide job opportunities for impoverished women – all these to ensure lively and humane access to each other within the same premises so that the needs of a family – even without a family – are fulfilled for everyone. I aim to support these ventures through the business that I am building.
What are your achievements in this industry?
I hold a Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology. I am a gold medallist in my post-graduation. I am the former HOD of the Biology Department at Presidency College. I am the author of a popular Bioscience series, “Adventures of Microbe Explorers”. I have reached out to more than 10000 people through popular science talks, addressed over 300 seminars and events, and authored popular science articles in newspapers.
I am a Life by Design Academy Coach and recipient of the Super Specialisation trophy from Puja Puneet, India’s Leading Life Coach. I have served over 1000 people through my WhatsApp challenges on various themes relevant to life coaching.
Does your work ever feel tedious to you? If so, how do you stay driven and motivated towards it?
I never feel my work tedious at all. On the contrary, I immensely enjoy every challenge, every creation, every moment. Moreover, how my work impacts and adds value to many people keeps me motivated and driven to do more. I am driven towards both initiatives, like a mother doting over her twins!
What are your hobbies and specific interests other than your profession?
My hobbies and special interests are diverse, which include reading books, drawing, watercolor painting, mandala work, pencil sketching, listening to Ghazals, melodic instrumentals, singing, dancing, bird watching, nature walks, gardening, bonsai and writing.
You have achieved so much in life. Any specific advice you’d like to share with our readers to grow in life?
Lead by example, live with integrity and gratitude, love what you do and do what you love, and be the light in every room you go.
