1) Could you tell us about yourself and your work?
My name is Gurpreet Singh and I am 25 years old. I did my BBA and MBA from Punjab University-Chandigarh. As I was very much into the business field, I started working as an assistant in a wedding company to gain exposure, and then I started my own wedding company, “TIE THE KNOT”. I can proudly say that in my first year of BBA with my partner, we did some spectacular work together. Then I opened up “THE FOOD CORNER” in Ambala to deliver delicious food to everyone. We never compromise on quality. That’s why our food is liked by everyone. This business has had huge success because of our constant efforts to provide customer satisfaction. Then I came across “AGIC EDUCATION SERVICES,” which is an immigration field partnership with Mr Amandeep Singh(M.D. of the company) that helps thousands of children fulfil their dreams of studying abroad and gaining international experience. I am running my business well because I’ve never stopped working hard to be the one who can become an inspiration to many.
2) How do you and your work benefit society?
The food corner is providing the best service with their mouth-watering food. We are available on Zomato and Swiggy to provide food according to the client’s demand. We organised many offers with a cricket screen and games to give clients a joyful ambience at the food corner. This helps society to come closer and enjoy their meals together, whereas, in my wedding company, I’m fulfilling everyone’s dream of their big day.
Furthermore, we are easing the burden of managing everything needed for this special day so that they can all enjoy it equally.
3) What is your vision and mission statement?
The mission of my work is to make everything I do countable. I work passionately and manage a team to achieve objectives like setting goals and striving towards them until they are achieved. Write detailed and measurable action steps to make that goal come true. My mission is to fulfil all the wishes of clients and make them happy. That’s all I need and my vision for my work. I want to become the most successful entrepreneur all over the globe. I want to do that much hard work that will help to fulfil my dream.
4) What are your achievements in this industry?
Food is the way to anyone’s heart. I chose this food line because I want to rule the heart with my scrumptious food. I always tried to do something innovative and interesting with my methods. That’s why I introduced various types of momos in Ambala, like chocolate momos and coloured momos, and they were appreciated by everyone. I got a humongous response from news reporters, food bloggers, etc. And The Food Corner won the best momos in Ambala.
Moreover, I’m into the wedding planning business also. This field is my passion. I always wanted to make this big day “the most memorable day” of their lives. I put my heart and soul into it, and as a result, TIE THE KNOT was nominated for best decoration in weddings in Chandigarh. It was a huge moment for me.
5) Does your work ever feel tedious to you? If so, how do you stay driven and motivated towards it?
Yes, sometimes due to a hectic schedule and excursions, I do find my work arduous. However, I always try to make myself motivated because self-motivation is the force that drives you to achieve your goals. But effective self-motivation is one of the main things that distinguishes high-achieving professionals from everyone else. Sometimes I reward myself to keep myself motivated. If the external reward is great enough, we’ll keep doing even the most unpleasant tasks. I set my goals to strive toward my target. Your drive to achieve is ultimately what will bring you to your ultimate goal. If you are striving toward a goal, that achievement acts as a point of focus and an approaching reward as you work toward attaining it. I face plenty of challenges in my work, so staying positive throughout your journey is necessary for self-motivation. When you are optimistic, you keep working hard regardless of obstacles, making it easier to achieve your goals.
6) What are your hobbies and specific interests other than your profession?
I love to do photography. I enjoy capturing the moments. Moreover, sometimes I love to watch cricket and read novels in my spare time. I am a hodophile. I love to explore new places and take some time to find inner peace.
7) You have achieved so much in life. Any specific advice you’d like to share with our readers to help them grow in life?
Never give up on something you believe in. When you start, you will fall a thousand times, but it doesn’t matter how many times you fall, it counts when you again come back with more power to fight back. Your constant efforts are the key to success.
