Could you tell us about yourself and your work?
I was a software engineer for 24 years, working with the biggest names in the business like Fujitsu, GE, Dell, IBM etc. Mid-way through my career I was bitten by the entrepreneurial bug. My Mother – in – Law and me then invested in a property and slowly started nurturing a wedding destination business. I then decided to call it a day from the software industry. Today I manage “The Beginning”, the No. 1 bespoke wedding destination in Bengaluru (). We are all hands on deck and I am the Telephone Operator / Wedding Wrangler (The modern-day equivalent of “Shaadi wale chacha”) at The Beginning. My key role is to ensure that every wedding is a happy, hassle-free experience for the bride, groom, family members and their guests. So I handhold the entire event chain, right from the moment they first visit us, to helping them finalize the menu, the vendors, the photo-shoot opportunities in our property, the wedding ceremonies and receptions leading up to the final “vidai”. How you and your service is helping society?
a) We provide equal employment opportunities for the locals as well as migrant workers. Most of our staff has been with us since the time of inception. We took care of them and their family’s needs during the Covid pandemic with full salaries being paid even during lockdowns.
b) We support a local orphanage.
c) We segregate waste and donate it to nearby animal farms.
d) We also sponsor local village festivals and conduct “Anna daana” as part of the festivities.
What is the USP of your work?
We believe in the truism “God is in the details”. We follow one of the tightest hygiene and maintenance schedules to ensure 100% upkeep of our facilities whether we have an event that day or not. This also extends to a Customer First attitude built into every member of the staff who is trained to multitask. Add in 4 layers of security, flexibility in allowing you to customize and bring in your own vendors, 7-star category guest rooms, large banquet halls, spacious dining hall, lush lawns and roomy kitchens, and one is treated to a 7-star experience of a destination wedding right in the heart of Bengaluru city. That’s our big USP.
What are your Vision and Mission?
We MUST be the destination of choice for the discerning brides and grooms who are looking for a premium, exotic, intimate and surreal wedding experience within the hustle & bustle of Bangalore city.

What are your hobbies and specific interests other than your profession?
Vintage Car & Bike Restorer, Ex-Rally driver, Ex- Off-roader & Jeeper.
You have achieved so much in life, any specific advice you’d like to share with our readers to grow in life?
To achieve success, make yourself redundant. Grow a strong team who can replace you and delegate effectively so that you are free to pursue success rather than get bogged down in day-to-day firefighting.
