Could you tell us about yourself and your work?
I am Aditti Jain Founder & CEO of Iki Chic. I knew my calling was fashion from a very young age. Throughout my life, I have been actively involved with arts and all kinds of creative stuff. After obtaining my fashion degree, I worked alongside my father as a fashion designer. Despite a long break from my professional life, I had a rich experience of the fashion world and the required knack.
Amidst the turmoil of the Corona Virus Pandemic, I found my calling. When the Pandemic unexpectedly knocked on our door, I started a one-stop online shopping destination for western wear.
The idea stuck with me while reading the book IKIGAI: The Japanese Secret to a Long and Happy Life by Frances Miralles and Hector Garcia. The title means finding the purpose of your life and as miraculous as it could be, this book gave me the much-needed direction for my creativity. I restarted the creative journey in a new avatar. IKIGAI gave me the purpose and push, I needed to launch my fashion brand Iki-Chic, named after the book.
Iki Chic is about fashion, comfort, luxury, and exclusive designs. We are an e-commerce fashion platform that leaves no stone unturned to provide our customers with the finest fashion trends and some fashionable yet comfortable clothes.
We have got our customers covered for every occasion with a stunning range of clothing, including many categories like Iki-Bae, Iki-Fit, Iki-Premium, and many more that the customers can find on the website.
I start planning three months before any new collection launch. To make the collection up to the taste of the latest fashion lovers, the designing team regularly goes through the fashion forecast for upcoming trends, runway, and international fashion shows. We religiously work on strategies, materials, designs, colors, and prints to create the best Iki-fashion for you.

How you and your service is helping society?
Being a women entrepreneur, I know how important it is for women to be independent. I am proud to say, that Iki-Chic is a brand that is predominantly run by women. I believe in empowering women to take on leadership roles and responsibilities within the company.
I think that there are so many creative and talented women that don’t trust themselves and are afraid to take that leap. I truly believe that if you leap, the net will appear. So many people talk themselves out of that.
We have been associated with many NGOs that focus on the upliftment of women in society. A share of our sales goes towards such organizations. We have participated in a fundraiser fashion show for a charity called ‘The Charter Night’. We also put up exhibitions at many events to support our cause. I believe it is our collective efforts that can help shape society. Be the change you want to see in the world is the mantra I practice religiously.

What is the USP of your work?
Our USP continues to be our brilliant customer service and affordable pricing. Customer satisfaction is our utmost priority.

What are your achievements in this industry?
Though we haven’t been in the industry for a long time, I feel so grateful that in such a short period, we have achieved so many things. Every milestone has been a victory to us whether small or big.
From being able to capture markets in difficult times of Covid, becoming one of the favorite brands for celebrities, or being featured in international magazines and being awarded, we have done it all.
We have been featured in international magazines Elle June Edition 2022 and Vouge July 2022 edition.
Our brand has been on the cover page of Souranshi Magazine Dec-Feb 2022 edition.
Our brand has been featured in Femina India Magazine for Women’s Day Edition.
We have been awarded the Indian Achievers Award for Promising Start-up 2021, Asia One Award for Most Influential Young Leader 2021, Asia One Award for India’s Greatest Brand 2022, and The Most Trending Online Store by Brand Impact.
We have been covered by The Hindu, CEO Weekly, The Social Buddy, BussinessWorld, and Dailyhunt.
I am also very proud to say that we are going to participate in one of India’s biggest fashion shows The Bombay Times Fashion Show 2023.

Does your work ever feel tedious to you? If so, how do you stay driven and motivated toward it?
Yes, it does get stressful at times but I love working and challenging myself to reach toward great and better things.
I believe it’s a responsibility to have to create something new that so many people go on to love. I am a stickler for perfection, which becomes a bit challenging sometimes.
I am very spiritual. So whenever I feel stressed, I chant to keep calm and composed. I try to spend as much time as possible with my family, and with them, I feel stronger. Spending time with my husband and kids, laughing with them, and watching Netflix is a big stress buster.
I am very focused and hardworking since I was a child, and I think that, slowly, this has become my strength. I bring my whole team together because teamwork is crucial for my work.
Although I started working late in my life, I feel I have achieved a part of what I have always wanted.
It’s still a long way to go but I am content, as I am efficiently balancing my professional and personal life very well.

What are your hobbies and specific interests other than your profession?
I have always been a creative soul, apart from designing apparel I spend my time painting for my office spaces and for my home. Painting can be a relaxing and meditative activity that allows the artist to escape from the stress and pressures of everyday life. It can also be a form of self-expression, allowing the artist to explore their creativity and emotions through color, form, and texture. It is something that I did very early on in my childhood which later on made me realize my love for fashion.
I enjoy redecorating my living spaces as well, changing the interiors. It is fun and fulfilling that allows me to create beautiful and functional spaces that reflect their personal style and taste.
I believe our bodies are temples, and I spend a healthy lifestyle religiously. I love to cook healthy and fresh meals. Experimenting with different cuisines and trying out new recipes.

You have achieved so much in life, any specific advice you’d like to share with our readers to grow in life?
One piece of advice that can be helpful for personal growth is to cultivate a growth mindset. Believing that you can always learn and improve, no matter what your starting point is. When faced with challenges or setbacks, try to see them as opportunities for learning and growth rather than as roadblocks. Approach new experiences with a curious and open mind, and don’t be afraid to take risks or make mistakes.
Remember that growth and progress take time, so be patient and persistent in your efforts.
Another important aspect of personal growth is setting goals and working towards them. Identify what you want to achieve in different areas of your life, and then break those goals down into smaller, more manageable steps. Celebrate your progress along the way, and don’t be discouraged by setbacks. Keep your vision in mind, and stay committed to your goals even when it gets tough.
Finally, remember that personal growth is not just about achieving external success or reaching certain milestones. It’s also about cultivating inner peace, resilience, and compassion. Take care of your physical and mental health, practice self-reflection and mindfulness, and build positive relationships. Focus on what matters to you, and make choices that align with your values and purpose. By doing so, you’ll be able to grow and thrive in all areas of your life.
