Could you tell us about yourself and your work?
So let me introduce myself to you, my name is Shikha Tiwari but I am widely known throughout the music industry as DJ Adaa, I have been working in this industry for more than 14 years now & I am two times Guinness World record holder for 24 & 48 hours, non-stop set & the only female so far with such recognitions.
How you and your service is helping society?
Originating from Rajasthan, I am glad to share that I am the first female DJ from such a small town in Jaipur who has made it this far in this industry & still thriving & earning. I have set new goals & Boundaries for the girls from the upcoming generations who plan to be on their own or become Independent Artists or who plan to take the driver’s seat of there life without any godfather while I am also helping many upcoming female artists to learn DJing
What is the USP of your work?
I would say, Travel, as it is mostly a part of every show in you, are a Freelancer like me, Great money if you survive the odds & bring out the best of yourself – no place for average! Fame, Name, and last but not least, love from all your Fans & Followers.
What are your Vision and Mission?
My vision is to see At least 1 female DJ in-house in every club of India & my mission is to collect as much love as I can from all parts of the world & Yeah well! Who doesn’t wanna be the Number? 1 DJ but, I would want to spread love & Music & make people & Families understand that DJing is the new full-time career & not a hobby anymore.
What are your achievements in this industry?
Have many but, let me put highlight just two of them here which are important which are
- 24 hours of non-stop live music during the lockdown, I count this one as a Big achievement because I managed to entertain people during the Pandemic;
- Playing for the Ultimates of every game like Shah Rukh Khan at Mannat, Lamborghini at a Launch Event & so many more.
Does your work ever feel tedious to you? If so, how do you stay driven and motivated toward it?
Yes, it is, 100%! But the way I keep myself motivated is by watching my Own Journey & what all I, my family & my kids(Dogs) have been through yet surprisingly surviving it so fantastically
What are your hobbies and specific interests other than your profession?
I am a Taekwondo Champion, a Black belt reading books about spirituality & I like to swim(Sometimes)
You have achieved so much in life, any specific advice you’d like to share with our readers to grow in life?
You don’t need a godfather to grow your career & you don’t even need to showcase your body as if you are a toy if you are female, if you have got the right talent, work will come to you & you will gradually become what you want to & would also like to ask all the parents around the world, “Please allow your child to take risks & learn life on their own”.
