Tell us about yourself and your work based on my CV.
I am Dhruv Mehta, a seasoned marketing professional with over Six years of experience in strategic market planning and business development, primarily within the healthcare sector. I currently serve as an Assistant Manager of Marketing at Apollo Hospital International Limited (Ahmedabad), where I oversee Oncology Referral Marketing initiatives. My previous roles include marketing positions at HCG Cancer Centre, Ambujanagar Multi-speciality Hospital (Adani Group), and Zydus Hospital and Healthcare Research Pvt Ltd. Throughout my career, I have successfully developed and implemented comprehensive marketing plans, driving brand recognition and business growth. I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Marketing from Som Lalit Institute of Management Studies and a Bachelor of Business Administration – Marketing & Export from Sardar Patel University.

How you and your service are helping society?
My work in healthcare marketing significantly contributes to society by enhancing patient awareness and accessibility to medical services. By developing strategic marketing campaigns and community plans, I help hospitals reach and inform potential patients about available treatments and specialties. This increases patient engagement and ensures that people are aware of the medical resources and expertise available to them, ultimately leading to better health outcomes. Additionally, my role involves promoting preventative care and health education through various community initiatives and events, which fosters a more informed and healthier community.

What is the USP of your work?
The unique selling proposition (USP) of my work lies in my ability to blend strategic marketing with a deep understanding of the healthcare industry. I have a proven track record of implementing data-driven strategies that not only enhance brand recognition but also drive tangible business growth. My expertise in both ATL (Above the Line) and BTL (Below the Line) marketing activities, coupled with strong relationship management skills, allows me to effectively promote healthcare services and specialties. This dual focus on strategic planning and execution ensures that marketing initiatives are both impactful and aligned with the organizational goals.

What are your Vision and Mission?
My vision is to be a leading figure in healthcare marketing, known for innovative strategies that significantly enhance patient awareness and accessibility to healthcare services. I aim to bridge the gap between healthcare providers and the community through effective marketing and communication. My mission is to drive business growth for healthcare institutions while simultaneously educating and engaging the community on the importance of health and wellness. By doing so, I strive to contribute to a healthier society and support the growth and success of healthcare organizations.

What are your achievements in this industry?
Throughout my career, I have achieved notable success in various marketing roles. At HCG Cancer Centre, I developed and executed comprehensive market plans that increased patient awareness and engagement. At Zydus Hospital, my efforts in business development and marketing significantly expanded the organization’s reach and client base. I have successfully managed social media campaigns, executed impactful ATL/BTL activities, and led community plans that enhanced brand recognition. My work has consistently resulted in increased visibility and growth for the healthcare institutions I have been associated with.

Does your work ever feel tedious to you? If so, how do you stay driven and motivated towards it?
While my work can be challenging, it seldom feels tedious due to the dynamic nature of the healthcare industry and the impact it has on people’s lives. I stay driven and motivated by focusing on the positive outcomes of my efforts, such as increased patient awareness and improved health services. The constantly evolving landscape of healthcare marketing also provides continuous learning opportunities and new challenges, which keeps me engaged. Additionally, witnessing the tangible results of my work and the difference it makes in the community fuels my passion and commitment to my profession.

What are your hobbies and specific interests other than your profession?
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy engaging in activities that stimulate both my mind and body. I have a keen interest in reading, particularly books on marketing, business strategy, and personal development. Staying active is also important to me, so I regularly participate in sports and fitness activities. Additionally, I am passionate about traveling and exploring new cultures, which not only broadens my perspective but also provides inspiration and fresh ideas that I can incorporate into my marketing strategies.

You have achieved so much in life, any specific advice you’d like to share with our readers to grow in life?
To achieve growth and success, it is crucial to embrace continuous learning and adaptability. The world is constantly changing, and staying updated with the latest trends and advancements in your field is essential. Additionally, setting clear goals and being persistent in pursuing them, even in the face of challenges, is key to long-term success.
