Could you tell us about yourself and your work?
Hi, I am Dr. Ishita Ganguly, serving as chief nutritionist at Doctor81 a multispeciality polyclinic in Faridabad. I am specialized in nutritional management of Gastrointestinal and liver diseases and my speciality is reversing fatty liver disease (NAFLD,NASH,MASLD) by changing diet, nutrition and behaviour therapy in patients. I practice as a pregnancy nutrition and hormone health/ PCOD expert in other hospital in my city as visiting consultant as I am specialized to guide nutrition therapy to mothers and child (MIYCAN). I am a certified obesity and weight management expert and bariatric nutrition specialist.
How you and your service is helping society?
I am transforming lives everyday by introducing new diet pattern, recipes, behavioural shift and lifestyle change in patients suffering in lifestyle disorders like obesity, fatty liver, thyroid, PCOS/PCOD, Hepatitis, Pancreatitis etc.
What is the USP of your work?
My work is completely research based, not just counting calories, I am an author of several scientific and clinical case studies, original research articles of foods and dietary habits, review papers and publications, I do conduct research projects and analyse data professionally and I have proper medical and para medical team to support patient management accurately.
What are your Vision and Mission?
My vision and mission are to create health awareness among people, educate communities and mothers about breastfeeding, nutrition, dietary elements that can be used as preventive medicines in alternative health science and communicate with people in a structured analytical way and program their mind to think logically about health and nutrition. All the clients should experience the change in their life after consulting their problems with me.
What are your achievements in this industry?
I have achieved multiple recognitions, awards, references from doctors working in leading hospitals to work with their patients, repeated clients, international clients and positive reviews. I have been invited to attend several conferences and won best talk awards in lifestyle medicine categories.
Does your work ever feel tedious to you? If so, how do you stay driven and motivated towards it?
Sometimes I feel overworked, tired after consulting so many patients in a long day routine and I make some good recipes at home to relax and that’s a great way to experiment with new dishes and also satisfy tastebuds. I enjoy investing new meals and nutritious recipes for my husband, children and family.
What are your hobbies and specific interests other than your profession?
I play piano with my children, they are beginners in learning music and piano, I dance, do yoga and exercise, Pilates and learn new therapies, read books and explore new places to visit in off time.
You have achieved so much in life, any specific advice you’d like to share with our readers to grow in life.
My advice would be never loose yourself in the chaos of outside, focus on your strength, follow daily routine and tell your mind that you are the best and capable of achieving all your goals at a time and have patience to see the change and last but not the least always have faith in the goodness of earth. Stay kind and positive in every situation and trust the process.
