1- Tell us a bit about yourself and your business venture- Photosynthesis Photography Services.

Photography, music, dramatics, film making and visual arts have always been a passion for me. Quitting a lucrative career of 20 long years in telecoms was no easy task but Photosynthesis was already taking shape. I felt I was better off making movies and shooting pictures.

I have been mentoring and training most of my team that we have with us. I am an adventure enthusiast, and I like to travel and meet new people. When I am not working, you can mostly find me in some secluded hamlet among the hills of Himachal Pradesh

Photosynthesis has been telling unique wedding stories for many years now. Based out of Faridabad, we have been serving clients all over India. Our photography style is mostly referred to as Candid Photography but we refer to it as reportage wedding photography, documentary wedding photography or wedding photojournalism. Of course, we provide directed/ traditional shots as well which is still the mainstay requirement in India.

Established in 2014, the team comprises dynamic and creative photographers, videographers and cinematographers, who are trained in the field of “Wedding Photography”. Passionate about providing the best wedding photos and videos, our working style is relaxed and unobtrusive. Taking pictures without making much hassle and thereby capturing the most authentic and beautiful pictures of your special occasion is one of our main qualities.

2- What invigorated you to become a full-time photographer?

Always loved to travel, meet people and learn about different cultures. I was thinking of an amazing career that I can have for my outgoing self, create art, and also make someone feel great about themselves.

I didn’t set out to be a photographer. It started as a hobby and during my stay in Africa started getting assignments. Soon, I was working on part-time assignments for organizations such as UNDP, USAID, British Council and BBC.

Coming back to India, I was “invited” to cover a destination wedding. The couple was astonished to see the results. So loved by everyone that I was “requested” to make a photo book out of the pictures. I had placed my phone number at the back of the photo book. Got a call one day. Someone wanted me to cover their wedding as well. One wedding led to another and in Oct 2014, I quit my regular job and have never looked back!

3- What makes Photosynthesis Photography Services set the most apart from others in the same industry?

Our wedding photography is not limited to taking posed pictures of the bride and groom or random clicks of the rituals or some emotionless shots of the relatives huddled together. Our signature style and properly framed & timed shots ensure that the pictures portray the energy and emotions of the moment in full authenticity.

I am a professionally trained photographer along with formal training in visual and applied arts. We take a personal interest in each event. It is important for us to understand the needs and expectations of our clients for the big day. By knowing what they want, we make it possible to tell their story in a manner in which they wish to remember it!

4- With Photosynthesis Photography Services, what have you achieved so far in the industry?

Rated as one of the most popular and among the best in Delhi/ NCR, Photosynthesis Photography Services has seen very steady growth over the years. Our clients love us and we have been winning hearts ever since we started.

5- What drives your passion and motivates you to work tirelessly?

I made wedding photography a full-time vocation so I can tell magical and enchanting stories. It’s also a great way of connecting with people. The gratitude that my clients have for their memories is what fills my emotional cup and keeps me motivated.

6- What advice would you like to give to our new budding photographers entering this industry?

Do not follow the trend. Make your own roads. Your skills matter. Be ready to learn and always strive to gain knowledge.
