Interviewed by The Success Today – A Digital Webzine.

Could you tell us about yourself and your work?
Art is a pure EXPRESSION. I make art to show my soul that I am listening. It is like breathing a fresh thought every day and releasing suppressed emotions. Art has allowed me to understand and reflect on many things in life.
I am Suruchi Vishal Purwar. I was born in Jhansi and brought up in Jabalpur (M.P) and have done my B. Tech in Computer Science branch worked in some companies in Noida for 5 years. In 2014, I got married, left my job, and moved to Auraiya (U.P), my husband’s native place. In 2016, I was blessed with a beautiful daughter. Coming from a technical background, I never thought twice before entering this field. It struck me to do something different, which II love the most and having a passion and interest dragged me to this field, though I had no professional experience in the arts field. After entering into this, there was no looking back. I loved how art has become part of my life and soul. With time, this deep love for art transformed into my passion, and I named it “Ranggat-An Art from Soul”. Ranggat is derived from the Hindi word “Rang”, which means ‘colour’ and Ranggat says ‘colour appearance’. On 27th April 2016, I started my own art business, “Ranggat”, where I sell my handmade artwork and conduct online/offline classes. I am working on mediums such as Alcohol Ink painting, Resin Art, Palette knife Work, Dot Mandala, Lippan Work, and Murals. Ranggat offers an exclusive range of handmade paintings to decorate all kinds of interiors. Now, I am an engineer by degree and an artist by profession.

How you and your service is helping society?
Art is a reflection of society and culture. As an ART Instructor or ART Business Owner, I have an undeniable passion for the arts. I believe that AGE is JUST a NUMBER to learning art. I conduct online and offline classes on different forms of art. Teaching styles aim to motivate people to bring out the artist in them. It helps my students to work under freely creative conditions. My artwork encourages people to create their masterpieces. Teaching art promotes expression and creativity. Colours play a vital role in one’s mind. It is a powerful communication tool which can be used to signal action, alter mood, and influence physiological reactions. Colours and emotions are closely connected. Warm colours can evoke different emotions than cool colours, and bright colours can create different feelings than muted colours. Art encourages my students to use varied avenues of self-expression and allows them to use the more creative side of their brains. They feel more relaxed, confident, and focused and develop patience while creating artwork. I believe that paintings boost happiness and bring good luck and peaceful energy to the home. Many clients told me my paintings alter the atmosphere and bring good vibes to their homes.

What is the USP of your work?
Painting is an infinitely minute part of my personality. It is a continuous learning and practising process and takes a lot of effort, patience, dedication and, most importantly, passion. Every artist has their own unique and individual style. As an artist, I consider a few elements while creating a painting
for example,
 the choice of colours and shades,
 the patterns and their composition,
 The focal point of a painting is where the eye of the viewer is naturally led.
 The base of my painting like MDF or Canvas /Stretched Canvas / Synthetic Paper
 It’s a medium like Acrylic, Oil, Alcohol inks or Resin,
 It should be original, unique, creative and innovative
The outcome of my painting depends on many things, but most of all, it is determined by the choice of colours and how I choose to apply, arrange, and group shapes and patterns in the painting also focuses on the focal point, which means “What is the painting about? What are you trying to say? “When I start a picture, I have a lot of enthusiasm and energy into it.

Does your work ever feel tedious to you? If so, how do you stay driven and motivated toward it?
I believe that Everyone has different tastes. There is nothing in the world that everyone likes. I’ve met people who want tea and those who don’t like tea, and the same goes for art. Everyone is entitled to have their taste and opinions about art and artwork. Just because they don’t like your art doesn’t mean it’s not good. Sometimes you’re on the right track, blazing a new path, and you’ll have to be patient while others catch up. I don’t let the power of my art-making fall to other people’s approval. My art is my art, and only I know how to make it. I never find my work tedious because I do my art from my heart. I think the important thing is that you keep making your art, learning, and improving. As far as the ART Market is concerned, it is constantly fluctuating. I think a good artist never faces a bad situation because if you are honest with your art, it gives you back a rich harvest of all your efforts and dedication.

What are your vision and mission?
My mission is to provide my clients with fresh, authentic, innovative and creative artwork. I always want to remain open to new learning experiences and opportunities without allowing inexperience to stand in the way. My client base is diverse and inclusive. I work with good people across the world. Also, one of my chief goals and dreams is to make students the repositories of art knowledge and expertise because they will be the next generation of leaders.
Every artist has a vision. I, too, have the vision to achieve through my art. This can be something not only creates a certain number of paintings but also bring joy to people’s lives. I plan that I want to work more with the best creative artists and get to know different styles and techniques. I wish I could have more art exhibitions and workshops to collaborate with other genuine and hardworking artists. My journey in the art world has started, and I promise myself that I will do something out of the box and make India proud. In the future, I want to achieve something big by making my Indian Art Brand “Ranggat” number one through my paintings and honouring my country.

What are your hobbies and specific interests other than your profession?
Since my childhood, art has been my hobby, and with time it has transformed into a passion; now it’s my profession. Apart from paintings, I love to read books, watch movies, cook and bake, & learning new forms of art. Books are my best friends who will never walk away from me. It improves the mind with good thoughts and knowledge. Baking in the kitchen is not just a fad for the ones with extra time. It can be an excellent therapeutic activity who love cooking. Activities like cooking are nurturing activities. I feel amazing and happy because what I make will feed my dear ones, which is a very fulfilling activity.

You have achieved so much in life; any specific advice you’d like to share with our readers to grow in life?
Art, for me, is something that liberates my soul. It has allowed me to understand and reflect on many things in life. My heart yearns for the satisfaction of doing a great painting than receiving appreciation. I believe that inner satisfaction is more valuable than anything. I always look forward to creating something more creative, innovative and colourful. Today I am an artist and running an art business. Even though I did not achieve all I wanted, I am happy with what I have. To our readers, I would like to suggest that it is a way to express yourself. My sincere gratitude and heartfelt thanks to “The Success Today” ~ The Digital Magazine for giving me a golden chance to present my views, showcase my skills through this feature, and share my ideas and experience about art.
