Interviewed by The Success Today – A Digital Webzine.
Could you tell us about yourself and your work?
Hello! I’m Anandana Trivedi, a counselling psychologist based in Lucknow, and it’s been a little over three years since I’ve worked in this field. Working in different mental health departments has helped me grow and evolve as a mental healthcare professional and person. The pandemic has hit all of us hard, especially our mental space. The idea behind starting my practice sprouted out of what we all went through collectively in 2020, a year that had been beyond distressing. This was when people paid attention to their thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Thus began the journey of the Dheer- Centre for Well-Being in January 2021.
How you and your service is helping society?
In my practice, I closely hold the idea that our emotions and beliefs do have the power to shape our respective meaning-making processes. I genuinely believe in the process of learning and unlearning as we go through our journeys. As a mental health consultant, it’s essential to provide support and help them navigate the various complexities of life.
What is the USP of your work?
I truly believe in providing my clients with the utmost ease and comfort in therapy sessions. To enhance the ability and agility to help the client feel and grow better.
What are your Vision and Mission?
The vision of our organization would be to implement effective and eclectic psychotherapy methods to encourage self-understanding among clients and enable them to adopt new attitudes and feelings towards life situations.
The mission is to empower individuals through therapeutic techniques and to help them reach their regulated selves.
What are your achievements in this industry?
I am grateful that I have been able to start my mental health setup in Lucknow. However, the constant effort to make individuals not only aware of mental health but also encourage them to seek professional help would be my most significant achievement.
Does your work ever feel tedious to you? If so, how do you stay driven and motivated towards it?
I thoroughly enjoy my work, but I have days when I get exhausted. On the days I am under the weather, I like to go through the various testimonials
by my clients. Their trust and consistency help me stay driven.
What are your hobbies and specific interests other than your profession?
I enjoy reading and painting and take time for these activities as life can be extremely hectic and overwhelming.
You have achieved so much in life; any specific advice you’d like to share with our readers to grow in life?
It’s a constant journey towards achieving your best self. For me, what has helped me grow and get better at what I am doing is I take this journey one day at a time. I constantly remind myself that it will be a process. There is no finishing line to my professional goal.
