Interview by The Success Today
Could you tell us about yourself and your work?
I am Kavita Sabhnani, a Holistic Dietitian and Founder of Wellness Roots, where I combine traditional Indian wisdom with modern nutritional science to help people reverse lifestyle disorders naturally. Over the years, I’ve worked with hundreds of clients to successfully address issues like thyroid imbalance, diabetes, PCOS, fatty liver, acidity, cholesterol, gut disorders, and chronic inflammation through simple, sustainable food habits.
My approach is different because I don’t just give a “diet chart”—I help clients understand their body, their symptoms, and the root cause of their health challenges. Every plan I create is personalised, therapeutic, and practical for real-life routines.
Through my content and programs, I educate people on eating clean, seasonal, and home-prepared food. I strongly believe that food is medicine, and when used wisely, it can heal almost every imbalance. Wellness Roots is my effort to make nutrition easy, enjoyable, and deeply rooted in Indian traditions.
My intention is not just to help people lose weight, but to rebuild their energy, confidence, mindset, and long-term health—one meal at a time.
How are you and your service helping society?
In today’s fast-paced world, people are struggling with lifestyle diseases, poor immunity, hormonal issues, low energy, and high stress. My work focuses on addressing these issues from the root—not through strict dieting or expensive supplements, but through real food and mindful lifestyle changes.
Wellness Roots helps society by simplifying nutrition. I educate people on how everyday Indian foods—like homemade ghee, amla, haldi, millets, seasonal vegetables, and herbal drinks—can restore health when used correctly. This helps families reduce dependency on medication, improve digestion, enhance immunity, and build strong long-term wellness habits.
I also work extensively with women, senior citizens, working professionals, and post-partum mothers—helping them regain strength, balance hormones, and rebuild their health naturally. My programs also support emotional wellness, sleep improvement, joint mobility, and overall metabolic balance.
By spreading awareness through social media, workshops, and client programs, I aim to create a healthier community that understands the value of food as medicine. My service empowers people to take charge of their health in a sustainable, affordable, and holistic way.
What is the USP of your work?
My USP is that I offer therapeutic, root-cause–based diet plans designed around each client’s medical reports, symptoms, and lifestyle—without unrealistic restrictions.
Unlike generic diets, my plans work stage-wise. Every 10 days, we introduce specific cleanses or organ-support routines—like gut reset, liver detox, anti-inflammatory phases, thyroid support, or insulin correction. This structured, scientific progression brings faster and deeper results.
Another strong USP is my combination of modern clinical nutrition with traditional Indian healing practices. I integrate local ingredients, home remedies, seasonal foods, and age-old practices like ghee therapy, spice infusions, and functional herbs—making nutrition practical and culturally familiar.
My clients often say that my programs feel supportive, personalized, and realistic. They can follow them even with a busy work schedule or family routine because I never introduce impractical dishes—only improved versions of what they already eat.
Lastly, my focus is not just weight loss; it’s total transformation—gut health, hormones, immunity, stress balance, inflammation reduction, and long-term sustainability. This holistic approach is what sets me apart and helps clients achieve real, measurable health reversal.
What are your Vision and Mission?
Vision:
My vision is to make holistic nutrition a lifestyle for every household. I want people to trust food again, understand their body better, and reverse lifestyle disorders naturally without relying on short-term fixes, fad diets, or unnecessary supplements. I envision a community where women, families, and senior citizens enjoy vibrant health, strong immunity, and emotional balance through simple, mindful living.
Mission:
My mission is to help people heal from the root by:
- Providing personalised therapeutic diet programs
- Educating families on seasonal, home-based nutrition
- Bringing back the science of Indian traditional foods
- Helping clients reverse chronic issues like thyroid, diabetes, acidity, PCOS, and inflammation
- Creating awareness around gut health, hormonal balance, and mental wellbeing
Through Wellness Roots, I aim to reach thousands more and make holistic nutrition accessible, enjoyable, and sustainable. I want to empower people to understand that healing is possible—no matter their age, condition, or history—when food, lifestyle, and mindset come together.
What are your achievements in this industry?
Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to guide hundreds of clients across India and abroad in transforming their health naturally. Some of the achievements I’m proud of include:
- Reversing thyroid, pre-diabetes, fatty liver, acidity, and cholesterol issues in countless clients through therapeutic food protocols.
- Helping many women overcome PCOS symptoms, regulate periods, and improve fertility naturally.
- Supporting senior citizens in improving their mobility, gut health, stamina, and medication dependency.
- Guiding post-partum mothers to rebuild energy, correct deficiencies, and achieve healthy weight loss.
- Designing 30- and 60-day organ cleanse programs that have become highly appreciated for their effectiveness and simplicity.
- Creating a strong social media presence where thousands of people learn daily about real, practical Indian nutrition.
Most importantly, my biggest achievement is seeing my clients reclaim their confidence, energy, and quality of life. Their testimonials and transformations are my true reward and the reason I continue to grow and serve in this industry.
Does your work ever feel tedious to you? If so, how do you stay driven and motivated towards it?
Working in the health field requires emotional presence, continuous learning, and deep commitment. Yes, some days can feel tiring because every client brings a different challenge—and I handle their emotions, fears, and health journeys with care. But this is also what keeps me motivated.
Whenever a client messages me saying, “My reports improved,”
or “I can sleep better now,”
or “My joint pain is gone,”
I feel recharged instantly.
Knowing that my work is bringing positive change to someone’s life, family, and future is the biggest source of motivation.
I also keep myself energized by practicing what I teach—eating clean, staying active, maintaining a positive mindset, and taking my own wellness seriously. My daily routine, reading, meditation, and gratitude keep me balanced.
The trust my clients place in me, and the responsibility of guiding their health, drives me every single day.
What are your hobbies and specific interests other than your profession?
Outside my nutrition practice, I enjoy activities that keep me grounded and creatively inspired. I love experimenting with traditional recipes, creating healthier versions, and exploring Indian regional foods. Cooking, for me, is not just a job—it’s a form of meditation.
I also enjoy reading wellness journals, listening to spiritual and motivational podcasts, and learning about Ayurveda, herbal remedies, and holistic healing modalities. These interests help me grow continuously as a practitioner.
Nature is another big part of my life—I enjoy long walks, quiet mornings, and spending time connecting with my surroundings. It keeps my mind calm and brings clarity to my work.
I also love creating content and connecting with people through social media because it allows me to educate and inspire a larger community.
Everything I do outside work supports my inner balance and creativity.
You have achieved so much in life, any specific advice you’d like to share with our readers to grow in life.
My biggest advice is simple: Start small, but stay consistent. Most people know what to do, but they struggle with discipline. Whether in health, work, or life—progress comes from everyday habits, not occasional motivation.
Second, invest in your health. When your energy is strong, your mindset and opportunities automatically expand. Eat real food, respect your body, and learn to listen to its signals.
Third, don’t chase perfection. Chase improvement. Even a 1% better habit every day can change your entire life in a year.
Fourth, surround yourself with people who uplift you. Choose positivity, growth, and environments that nourish you mentally and emotionally.
And lastly—believe in yourself. Every person has the ability to change their story. You just need courage to begin and consistency to continue.
