Interview by The Success Today

Could you tell us about yourself and your work?
I am an Advocate practicing at the Hon’ble High Court of Kerala, with a strong academic and professional focus on emerging areas of law. I hold an LL.M in Data Privacy and Information Technology Laws and am also one of the youngest qualified Artificial Intelligence Security Officers. In addition, I possess a diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, which has helped me develop a multidisciplinary perspective in legal practice.
Currently, my practice spans a wide range of matters including writ petitions, criminal cases, cybercrime-related disputes, and cases under the Negotiable Instruments Act. While courtroom advocacy remains central to my profession, my work extends beyond litigation. I have a keen interest in technology-driven legal challenges, particularly those arising from data protection, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.
I have authored and published several articles on data protection, cybersecurity, and emerging technology laws, many of which have gained recognition for addressing contemporary legal issues in a rapidly evolving digital ecosystem. I also actively engage in cyber awareness initiatives aimed at educating the public about digital safety and responsible technology use.
My journey in law is driven by continuous learning, adaptability, and a commitment to aligning legal practice with the realities of a technology-driven society.

How you and your service is helping society?
My work goes beyond the courtroom. As an Advocate, I’m the voice of the weak and a representative of communities. But apart from that, I contribute to society by addressing legal challenges that arise at the intersection of law, technology, and public awareness. In an era where digital platforms, artificial intelligence, and data-driven systems influence everyday life, legal literacy and protection have become essential. Through my legal practice, I assist individuals and organizations in navigating complex legal issues related to cybercrime, data breaches, digital fraud, and constitutional remedies.
Beyond litigation, I actively participate in cyber awareness campaigns aimed at educating the public about digital safety, data privacy, and responsible online behavior. Many individuals fall victim to cyber threats due to lack of awareness rather than intent, and I believe that preventive education is as important as legal remedies.
By publishing articles on data protection, cybersecurity, and emerging technology laws, I strive to bridge the gap between legal theory and practical understanding. These writings help professionals, students, and the general public stay informed about evolving legal frameworks.
My role as an Artificial Intelligence Security Officer further allows me to contribute to the responsible and secure adoption of AI systems. Overall, my service focuses on empowering society through legal protection, awareness, and forward-looking solutions in a rapidly digitizing world.

What is the USP of your work?
The unique aspect of my work lies in its interdisciplinary and future-oriented approach. It’s a niché area that is still growing. While I practice conventional areas of law such as writs, criminal matters, and NI Act cases, my specialization in data privacy, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence sets my practice apart. These are relatively new and rapidly evolving fields, with limited professionals possessing both legal expertise and technical understanding.
Being formally trained in Data Privacy and Information Technology Laws, along with my qualification as an Artificial Intelligence Security Officer, enables me to analyze legal issues through a technology-aware lens. This allows for more comprehensive legal strategies, particularly in cybercrime, digital evidence, and data protection matters.
Another distinguishing factor is my commitment to public engagement. Through awareness campaigns and publications, I actively translate complex legal and technological concepts into accessible knowledge for the public. This dual focus on litigation and education enhances the societal impact of my work.
Additionally, my multidisciplinary academic background, including logistics and supply chain management, helps me understand commercial and operational challenges faced by businesses. Overall, my USP lies in combining traditional legal advocacy with emerging technology expertise and social responsibility.

What are your Vision and Mission?
My vision is to contribute to a legal ecosystem that is responsive, adaptive, and prepared for the challenges posed by technological advancement. As technology continues to redefine governance, commerce, and personal interactions, the law must evolve to protect individual rights while encouraging innovation. My Masters Thesis was on “Legal frameworks for the Metaverse” which is still a relatively lesser researched area. I have theorised a few potentially sound policy models which could be implemented if ever Metaverse becomes a legal terrain in the future.
My mission is to make an impact. To change lives. And professionally, to specialize and excel in the fields of data protection, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence law, while maintaining a strong foundation in constitutional and criminal litigation. I aim to provide informed, ethical, and forward-looking legal solutions that address both present disputes and future risks.
Another important aspect of my mission is public education. I strongly believe that legal awareness, particularly in digital spaces, is essential for a secure society. Through writing, awareness programs, and professional engagement, I strive to empower individuals to understand their rights and responsibilities in the digital world.
Ultimately, my goal is to bridge the gap between law and technology, contribute to policy discussions where possible, and play a meaningful role in shaping a secure and legally sound digital future.

What are your achievements in this industry?
One of my notable achievements is being recognized as an awardee at the upcoming Global Jurists Award 2026, to be conferred at the Le Grande Legal Summit in London. This recognition is particularly meaningful as it reflects acknowledgment of work in emerging and specialized areas of law at an international platform.
Academically, completing an LL.M in Data Privacy and Information Technology Laws and qualifying as one of the youngest Artificial Intelligence Security Officers have been significant milestones. I have also attained 20+ certifications by Google, IBM, University of London, UCDavis etc. on Data Privacy and Cybersecurity. These qualifications have allowed me to position myself in a niche legal domain that is both challenging and impactful.
Professionally, I have successfully handled a diverse range of cases before the Hon’ble High Court of Kerala, including writs, criminal matters, cyber-related cases, and NI Act disputes. My published articles on data protection, cybersecurity, and emerging technology laws have also gained popularity and contributed to informed legal discourse.
Additionally, my involvement in cyber awareness initiatives have allowed me to contribute beyond individual cases, creating a broader social impact through education and prevention.

Does your work ever feel tedious to you? If so, how do you stay driven and motivated towards it?
I won’t lie, legal practice can occasionally be challenging and intense. However, I would not describe my work as tedious. The dynamic nature of law, especially in areas involving technology and cyber issues, ensures that there is always something new to learn and address.
What keeps me motivated is the evolving nature of my specialization. Technology law, data protection, and artificial intelligence are fields that change rapidly, requiring constant upskilling and adaptability. This continuous learning process keeps the work intellectually engaging.
Additionally, the impact of my work…whether it is securing justice for a client, protecting digital rights, or educating the public about cyber safety, serves as a strong motivator. I must share this.. when you become an instrument of justice and your client embraces you with tears of joy.. that feeling is unfathomable. I cannot describe it in words. Seeing tangible outcomes and societal benefits reinforces my commitment to it.
I also believe in maintaining balance through disciplined work habits and setting clear professional goals. Staying connected with academic research, writing, and awareness initiatives helps me remain driven and aligned with the larger purpose of my profession.

What are your hobbies and specific interests other than your profession?
Outside my professional commitments, I’m also a guitarist and sportsperson. I like to read, play music, travel and explore, I’m also a rider… Jack of all trades haha.. I believe in continuous learning, particularly in areas related to astrophysics, technology, global legal developments, and policy frameworks. I like hobbies which contribute to my personal and professional growth.
I also enjoy staying updated with technological advancements, especially in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, as these fields influence not only my work but society at large. Reading, attending seminars, and engaging in discussions on emerging technologies are activities I genuinely enjoy.
Additionally, I believe that your hobbies should be the opposite of what your profession demands. Like mentally straining professionals should indulge in physical hobbies like athletics, swimming etc. And professionals with physically demanding professions should engane in mentally stimulating hobbies like crosswords, puzzles, chess etc. It ensures a holistic development as well as maintains a healthy body and mind.

You have achieved so much in life, any specific advice you’d like to share with our readers to grow in life.
I believe that if you have and idea and you commit to it, it shall come to pass. Growth is a continuous process rather than a destination. My advice to readers is to invest in learning and adaptability, especially in a world that is constantly changing. Specializing in emerging areas, while maintaining strong foundational skills, can create meaningful opportunities.
Consistency and discipline are equally important. Success is often the result of sustained effort rather than isolated achievements. It is also essential to remain humble and open to learning, regardless of experience or recognition.
Another important aspect is social responsibility. Whatever profession one chooses, contributing positively to society adds purpose and fulfillment to one’s work. Awareness, ethics, and integrity should never be compromised.
Lastly, do not be afraid to explore unconventional paths. New fields often come with uncertainty, but they also offer the chance to make a lasting impact. With dedication, ethical practice, and a willingness to evolve, meaningful growth will naturally follow.
