Interviewed by The Success Today – A Digital Webzine.

Could you introduce us to yourself and your business?

I am a counselling psychologist, life coach, and internationally certified Heal Your Life and emotional intelligence facilitator. I am also a writer at the Elephant Journal and have authored two books—a Hindi poetry book titled Rehguzar and a self-help book titled The Intentional Being.
In collaboration with Kyaamatlab.com, I also have podcasts on Spotify.
I am also the founder of I’M POWERED-CENTER FOR COUNSELLING & WELL-BEING, Delhi, which is based on the philosophy that there is something innate in us that drives us to understand things in a certain way, act as per what works for us and push ourselves to work on issues and make things right. It is this power that lies at the heart of our being and self-exploration. Therefore, we all have the power to explore, change, resolve, and evolve. I have been in the field of mental and emotional health for over 8 years and have worked with hundreds of individuals, enabling their journey towards self-love and personal growth.

What is the role of your family in your achievements?

My family is my backbone and has always stood by me and supported me in every possible way. I come from a family of doctors where hard work, consistency, and authenticity have been the values that we have always upheld.

What is your ultimate aim as a psychologist? How do you create a new path in your profession?

The fields of counselling, coaching, and training are not stand-alone fields. They are interconnected, and they need the coach and the coachee to walk side by side. The true success of a therapist, coach, or trainer lies in the growth of their clients and coachees. For me, I believe the more I grow as an individual, the more I’ll be able to be a facilitator in someone else’s growth process.
Thus, my focus is on empowering people from different walks of life through counselling, coaching, and training.

What was the one thing that had first persuaded you to enter into this field of industry?

I have always believed that I was destined to be in this field. From a very early age, I began to understand the struggles of being human, the pain and the anguish that come with it. There were times when I felt that I needed a certain kind of help that wasn’t possible from friends or family. When I got that help, I realised what a profound difference it could make in someone’s life. That’s when I was able to come to terms with the fact that I would want to enable people to move towards self-awareness, discovery, and growth. If I can support someone during their tough times, then that’s a huge reward for me.

With such cut-throat competition in this industry, what is it that makes the services you offer exceptional?

As a therapist and coach, I endeavour to facilitate people’s journey towards self-love by showing up authentically. I am guided by my values of balance, growth, and harmony, which enables me to hold space for the clients I work with, reach out to them with empathy, and take them on the path of self-discovery and awareness. I believe that self-awareness lies at the heart of growth. I balance the logical, practical, solution-focused approach with an emotional, empathetic, compassionate one.

Your achievements in this industry are more than impressive. Would you like to share them with us today?

I have two books under my name. I write for the Elephant Journal because it helps me connect with individuals across the globe. I have three podcasts. I was also awarded the Spiritual Leader Award in 2020 by Artemis and the Universal Saviour Foundation, and I have wonderful feedback from the majority of my clients, which for me, is the biggest achievement.

Does your work ever feel unexciting to you? If so, how do you stay driven and motivated towards it?

My work grounds me and gives me a sense of purpose. Yes, there are days when I feel exhausted and drained. But other than those days, I only need a break. I don’t struggle to stay motivated; it comes organically and is an integral part of who I am.

You have achieved so much in life. Is there any specific advice you’d like to share with the new people entering this industry?

One must invest in personal growth and development. That is the key to becoming better at what you do, irrespective of the field that you are in. It’s also important to be authentic so that you can establish a genuine connection with people. I believe that true success lies in the authentic expression of one’s self.
