Could you tell us about yourself and your work?
Hello, my name is Pushpa Pittala, founder of Intended Image Consulting based in Hyderabad. I have been helping my clients to define and refine their Personal Brand and Image through their appearance, behavior and communication. I am also the State President of Telangana of the Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (WICCI), a non-profit organization that is led by a fantastic group of women all across India.
I am an MBA Graduate, and an HRBP (Certified Human Resource Business Partner), and have done Professional Certification in Image Management, one from ISIM, Mumbai and one from International Image Institute, Canada. Prior to my transition into the Image Consulting Industry, I worked as an HR Manager in different industries such as Political, Media, IT also in Real Estate, Banking and Finance industries as an HR Consultant.
How you and your service is helping society?
I come from a middle-class background in a small village. I noticed that no matter how good or talented you are as a person people always judge us based on the Image we project. I remember that when I was younger I went to a big jewelry shop with my friends and noticed the staff and the shop owner’s behaviors towards two different customers one who was looking like a rich person and the second one was as an average middle-class person. Even though the price they both paid for the jewelry was as per the jewelry rate they buy but the respect and attention they got were different. Not only in that shop I noticed that behavior from others everywhere in my life even in companies when getting a job or business opportunities.
I decided at that moment we should get the DISCOUNTS in the products and services but not in the RESPECT we deserve. So, I have been helping people to get noticed, and respected and the opportunities in their life by providing quality services backed by Psychology.
What is the USP of your work?
We are not handed over the opportunities unless we project that we are capable of doing that. So, we help people to get that exactly by creating their unique Personal Brand based on their lifestyles, career, goals, and personality.
What are your Vision and Mission?
Our Vision is to make people feel confident and build positive relationships with others in every aspect of life by creating a visually compelling Brand with values and morals. Our mission is to become the best Image & Brand Consultant by creating valuable and quality services that bring happiness and satisfaction to our clients’ lives with Higher Integrity and commitment toward clients’ goals and results.
What are your achievements in this industry?
I have been selected as the State President of Telangana of the Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (WICCI) Image Consulting Council, a non-profit organization that is led by a fantastic group of women all across India. I am grateful to ISIM Mumbai for this honor and opportunity.
Does your work ever feel tedious to you? If so, how do you stay driven and motivated toward it?
Even though Image Consulting Industry is booming in India many people from South India, especially in my region people are not aware of the work I do as an Image consultant which is tedious at times to bring awareness and make them understand how it impacts their lives. But I love the process because it teaches me to do research more and provide more and become more and better at what I am doing.
What are your hobbies and specific interests other than your profession?
I enjoy reading self-help Books and walking outdoors, love travelling. I usually take time off to travel and see new places to explore the cultures, mindsets and lifestyles of others.
You have achieved so much in life, any specific advice you’d like to share with our readers to grow in life?
Honestly, I haven’t achieved so much, still have a long way to go, but if you ask me, I will say doing what makes you interesting is the best way to get success in life because we never feel it a task or chore we overcome the obstacles with excitement when we love what we do.
As Zig Ziglar said “You can have everything in life you want if you will just help other people get what they want.
Making positive relationships with others and keeping them healthy by helping them is the best way to get what you want in your life.
