Interviewed by The Success Today – A Digital Webzine.
Could you introduce us to yourself and your business?
I have been an Ayurveda physician since 2014 in Hyderabad and have earlier worked in many hospitals across India as a physician. I was born and brought up in the city of Nizams, Hyderabad, and feel proud of it. I graduated and post graduated from RGUHS Karnataka. I belong to a family where joining forces is the only proud factor. Despite feeling like an odd man out, I did break the norms and joined Ayurveda. Established Dr. Ahmed’s Ayurvaidhya in the year 2014 to provide safe, fast, and cost-effective ayurvedic treatments to the folks of Hyderabad. Over some time, they started expanding and have 2 branches in Hyderabad, one in Manikonda and another in Banjarahills.
What is the role of your family in your achievements?
I belong to an educated family where knowledge is never a stereotype. My family has been very supportive in my journey from student to doctor. My father, brother, and wife have been very supportive every time I failed and was about to give up. I thank my entire family and friends for their extraordinary support in making this happen.
What is your ultimate aim as a doctor? How do you create a new path in your profession?
As a doctor, I would like to provide safe, fast, and cost-effective ayurvedic treatment to the people of Hyderabad. Usually, people feel Ayurveda is a slow medicine useful only in preventive care. With my experience in medicine and out-of-the-box thinking, I would like to bring out the secrets of Ayurveda as mainstream medicine. I wanted to educate people on the real meaning of medicine, be it Ayurveda or any other stream. I would like to educate people about lifestyle diseases and the role of Ayurveda in preventing and treating them.
What was the one thing that first persuaded you to enter into this field of industry?
Like any person aspiring to be a doctor, I too had a dream of entering into the medical field. I would rather say Ayurveda chose me than I chose Ayurveda. I am fortunate and proud to say that I am an Ayurveda doctor who gets the chance to cure problems that are unanswered by contemporary or mainstream medicine.
With such cut-throat competition in this industry, what is it that makes the services you offer exceptional?
Ayurveda in and of itself is exceptional, so that makes me and my services too. My in-depth understanding of diseases, technical approaches, and result-oriented treatments keep me going. I am never worried about the industry’s competition because I don’t consider it a business but rather a noble service. My patients are my ambassadors, who keep me above the competition. I offer service for some burning, mismanaged diseases like thyroid, infertility, sexology, spinal problems, joint problems, gastrointestinal problems, etc. without any side effects.
Your achievements in this industry are more than impressive. Would you like to share them with us today?
Thank you for the compliment on your success today. Yes, there have been a few achievements, such as the Best Doctor Award in 2018 by the Ex-CM of Telangana, Sri. Roshaiya, and the Miss Universe Sushmita Sen Award in 2021 by Former Captain Kapildev and Miss Universe Sushmita Sen.
Does your work ever feel unexciting to you? If so, how do you stay driven and motivated towards it?
I never feel my work is unexciting because the kinds of cases I see are unexpected and truly challenging. The challenges I face in understanding any disease itself keep me motivated. Ayurveda has a lot of miracles to be given to the world.
You have achieved so much in life. Is there any specific advice you’d like to share with the new people entering this industry?
So many youngsters who want to enter into the field of medicine get disheartened when they can’t get into mainstream medicine. My advice to them is that it is not so much what you do as it is how you do it. Ayurveda is a fast emerging medical science and is the future of the world is dedicated to the science of its wonders waiting for the world. As a result, the field of Ayurveda has enormous potential for growth and achievement.
