Interviewed by The Success Today – A Digital Webzine
Could you tell us about yourself and your work?
Hi, I’m Madhuri, and I’ve dipped my toes in a myriad of professions in my life – from being a Biology and Chemistry teacher to attend the National Institute of Fashion Designing, completing my coursework and becoming a professional fashion designer, to being an avid home decor enthusiast, to FINALLY running my own durable and chic jewellery business. I’ve never been one to be afraid of trying, and I hope to inspire you to do the same.
I started Mystic Studiio at 47 with my daughter. At 51, I’m proud to say that I’ve never felt happier than I currently do, running my Stainless Steel Jewellery business with the constant support and encouragement of my family. I’m in charge of the sourcing, selling and legal side of the business, while my daughter Rashi (now, 20) is the creative head, and is responsible for writing articles, captions and the presentation of our content, and well as handling our website.
How you and your service is helping society?
I started Mystic Studiio in the hopes of making people feel their best with their own signature style and statement pieces that define who THEY are while providing exceptional quality and waterproof, sweatproof and hypo-allergenic pieces (ideal for sensitive skin) and I’m thrilled to say that I’m playing a part in it. Jewellery can hold deep value for the person who owns it, and since a lot of our jewellery is purchased as gifts for loved ones, the sentimental value is immense. For all our clients who purchase it, they have a purpose – wearing it to work, for social outings, or even as gifts to themselves as an expression of self-love, but it all comes down to the person feeling confident when they wear it.
What is the USP of your work?
Our USP, due to which customers love us is our exceptional product quality and the affordability of our entire collection, while not compromising on unique, one-of-a-kind designs. We are confident that our prices set us apart from our competitors, and all our Stainless Steel jewellery is WATERPROOF, SWEATPROOF, TARNISH-FREE AND HYPO-ALLERGENIC. We have tested these pieces in coke, coffee and soapy water, and they have come out untarnished.
What are your Vision and Mission?
Our vision is to become the leading jewellery brand in our industry that empowers people to express their individuality and unique style through timeless, beautiful pieces.
Our mission is to create high-quality jewellery that is not only beautiful but also affordable and fits a wide variety of budgets. We aim to provide an individualistic shopping experience for all our clients, where they can find the perfect piece to commemorate special moments in their life. We are committed to making a positive impact on all our customers and hope to serve to the best of our ability.
What are your achievements in this industry?
Some of my achievements in this industry are as follows:-
- Launching a successful jewellery brand that has gained a loyal customer base and lots of positive reviews.
- Supplying unique and innovative designs that have garnered recognition and sales from customers and awards from industry experts.
- Establishing partnerships with reliable suppliers and ensuring high quality materials and craftsmanship.
- Expanding the reach of our business through various online channels such as e-commerce and digital marketing.
Does your work ever feel tedious to you? If so, how do you stay driven and motivated toward it?
My work has, so far, never been tedious to me as I like to care for it as I would care for an infant. My brand is my baby. Some days, it’s hard to brainstorm the next step or work towards a new launch; other days, it is breezy and easy. Each day, we power through. There are ups and downs all the time, but even through the downs, I have never felt it to be unrelentingly tedious or tiresome. Instead, I like to nurture my brand with all the love and attention I possibly can, while working through the logistics and content creation with determination.
What are your hobbies and specific interests other than your profession?
I’ve always had an inclination towards art since a very young age, and painting has always been my stress buster. I’m fond of just playing with colours and starting off with something abstract, only for it to turn into something definitive. I also love reading and journalling when my mind feels too cluttered, as it helps calm me down. In my free time, I also love saving up ideas and creating itineraries for places I’d love to travel to next, as it gives me an extra lil’ something to look forward to.
You have achieved so much in life, any specific advice you’d like to share with our readers to grow in life?
My biggest lesson that I’ve learned and would love to help other people learn as well is – never lose hope, and never give up on your faith. Life may throw a wrecking ball at you by dismantling all your plans that you spent so much time and energy creating, but never give up on your innate faith to come out stronger and wiser. That is the reason why, even after having to change so many professions due to unavoidable circumstances and going through periods of extreme hardship, I managed to persevere. It takes courage, a lot of energy, and a hell lot of hope and faith to get through life, so cultivate these values and NEVER GIVE UP.
