𝟭) 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘂𝘀 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀.
There couldn’t be a more fitting first question than an introduction on self. My name is Paridhi Jain. Academically, I am an engineer, but my passion drove me to pursue photography full-time. I fell in love with this whole idea of capturing candid moments on camera, the world of emotion and expressions that could be so beautifully recorded forever. After exploring what felt like hundreds of different styles of photography, my heart stuck to child photography and the joys of it. Post engineering, none of the 9-5 jobs were my calling. I decided to pursue photography full time and built a team of enthusiasts like me by the name of ‘The Camerawala’. We have now expanded to cover wedding photography, candid photography, videography, lifestyle shoots and have a fully functional studio right now. Our service is not just Indore-centric, and instead is available pan-India. We have taken our services across 4 countries to date as well.
𝟮) 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗮 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱?
I have always been creative ever since I was a young girl. My flair for art blossomed since my school days when I used to customize greeting cards for my peers and sell those to them. I had never thought that I would end up being a businesswoman, and when I was a kid fresh out of school, terms like candid photography did not exist. In 2011, I landed across a page of this stranger (now a very good friend), who had these Beautiful shots of nature and his friends and self-portraits of himself and I was fascinated.
Followed this sudden urge, picked up the camera available at home and started shooting! 6 months after my sister gifted me a dslr and it didn’t take me long to fall in love with the whole process
It’s so beautiful, you know, the way you can capture a precious moment and keep it with you forever. As a person, emotions speak out to me the most. Family photography and Wedding photography are probably the two most expressive forms of photography, and helping people capture those emotions brings me immense happiness.
𝟯) 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀/𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀?
We provide full photography and videography services to our clients including candid photography, traditional photo, video services, drone services and cinematography which is the film part of any event or a shoot. I would say what stands us apart from the rest is the fact that we are into this because we love photography and we love the emotional aspect of the same; our pictures are like stories showing the emotional exchange between a bride and her father, the emotional roller coaster that goes between the bride and the groom as they exchange varmala, and as they put on mangal sutra and sindoor, the candid moments of the child turning one and the happiness on the parents face, and the chaos as well of the house of the child room, everything, it’s like our pictures tell stories of that time, that when you will see them 10 years after, you will be taken back to that moment again, that is what we are providing to our customers, an album full of memories and flashbacks.
𝟰) 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗼 𝗳𝗮𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆?
Coming from a service-based middle-class family, stepping into my own business was a big thing for me. From not knowing how to price our art and shoots to now providing a proper package list to our customers is again a big step for me. My achievement so far in the industry is the love of so many clients, and when the same clients come to me after like 3 years, 4 years to approach us again, that is like the biggest thing I think I have achieved, their trust in me to cater to their special moments.
𝟱) 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗹𝘆?
What drives my passion and motivates me to work tirelessly is again the same answer, the smile of my customers and clients. Our own work inspires us and drives us to work harder. What motivates us to work tirelessly is money, of course, because we are doing this for our bread and butter, but again the family we are building continuously, we are meeting strangers who turn into our close friends. One day we are shooting for them, and the other day, we are playing board games with them, so that is really like a family that I am building. So that also motivates me, it is like I am giving them smiles which makes me happier.
𝟲) 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲?
One piece of advice, to achieve anything in life, whether it is your career, your business, your studies, your sports or anything, you have to be consistent and have to give your 100% with complete honesty. You not only have to work hard, but you have to work smartly too. And yes, whatever be the phase, without fail, you have to get up every day, be on your toes and get to work. There is no Sunday in your life if you want to achieve big things. Big success comes from a great amount of planning and good execution.
Because there will be times when you are bored of it, there will be times you’ll be distracted, there will be times when you would just feel like giving up. But you have to wake up, remind yourself about the reason why you started, and get going.
