Interviewed by The Success Today – A Digital Webzine

Could you tell us about yourself and your work?
Hi everyone, I am Nishita Thakur, an engineer in IT, first generation entrepreneur and this is my brief story.
I was born into a nuclear family in Ranchi. After a small stint in the IT industry, I got married and moved to Delhi. My pregnancy with twins brought me into an unexplored territory and came with much responsibility, and I needed to take care of every aspect. We had a tough time managing and maintaining the physical records with every doctor visit. The forms are of premature twins, and we had to keep this at least till the seventh year. We were shocked to learn that there is no app or service available to maintain and manage this critical data when it comes to your loved ones in India.
KidsCur was born due to these difficulties of utilising alternative online data storage services. We are dedicated to establishing KidsCur as a dependable database management system for child healthcare with a wide range of services and solutions in the current environment.

How you and your service is helping society?
In India, where healthcare infrastructure and services vary widely, KidsCur can help address vital gaps in healthcare database management. Some concerns are covered. However, what needs to be provided is updated and precise record-keeping, telemedicine, and remote consultations.
This is where KidsCur comes in; it creates secure, lifelong encrypted access to accurate and updated patient records, which allows healthcare providers to make informed decisions, leading to better patient care with data channeling for future integration into the NDHM.
NDHM, or the National Digital Health Mission, aims to create a unified health record system for every citizen. Furthermore, our core effort is to ensure these technologies are accessible and affordable to many people, including those in remote and underserved areas of India.

What is the USP of your work?
KidsCur integrates various parenting functionalities, e.g., Healthcare data vaults, medication and vaccination reminders, parenting blogs, generic home tips and remedies, milestone trackers, etc.
KidsCur’s digital healthcare record-keeping service helps revolutionise healthcare management by improving accessibility, security, interoperability, efficiency, and patient engagement by enabling data-driven decision-making and ensuring regulatory compliance.
In a nutshell, KidsCur contributes to better child care and more efficient healthcare delivery in times of need, anywhere, anytime.

What are your Vision and Mission?
KidsCur aspires to reach every Indian household and provide safe, easy access to their child’s healthcare records. We are committed to guiding every Indian parent about the benefits of a safe and secure online platform to access their child’s healthcare records.

What are your achievements in this industry?
I feel grateful every time, an app user shares positive feedback, and getting many positive reviews is a fantastic feeling in itself. But our true goal is to reach the maximum number of users and give them value for their money with effective and efficient healthcare data management. In my opinion, successful entrepreneurship should bring cost-effective and scalable solutions to real-world problems with more innovative and user-friendly technology to the masses.

Does your work ever feel tedious to you? If so, how do you stay driven and motivated towards it?
The entrepreneurial journey is a marathon, not a race. You will often feel overwhelmed by the hats you use as a parent, a spouse, and a business owner, with perfection every time. But my passion & mission to help young parents across India keeps me going.

What are your hobbies and specific interests other than your profession?
I am an avid reader and like the fiction genre. And spend time listening to music to reduce stress and declutter the mind.

You have achieved so much in life, any specific advice you’d like to share with our readers to grow in life?
Learning from failures and continuously improving are integral parts of the entrepreneurial process. My advice to aspiring entrepreneurs is to stay passionate about what they have committed, stay focused, and persist in pursuing their dreams for real societal problems.
