Does your work ever feel tedious to you? If so, how do you stay driven and motivated toward it?
As a devoted baker, mother, and entrepreneur, I’m not a stranger to the demands and challenges of my creative pursuits. Yet, no matter how daunting the task, my love for baking and a strong sense of purpose helps me overcome any feelings of tediousness or exhaustion. A larger goal and a vision for my family, students, and community drive me.
I draw motivation from my child Garv, fondly known as Ladoo, whose love for my home-baked goods fuels my creativity. My concern for his health was the catalyst that transformed me into a baker, making this a deeply personal mission.
Moreover, I find immense satisfaction and drive in empowering homemakers by equipping them with baking skills. Hearing the stories of my students starting their baking businesses and thus achieving financial independence gives me a sense of accomplishment and the motivation to keep going.
Finally, my desire to contribute to healthier eating habits and my dream of bringing baking to every small city in India keeps me persistent and innovative. My motivation stems from my love for baking, passion for teaching, and commitment to contributing positively to society.
What are your hobbies and specific interests other than your profession?
Beyond my professional baking endeavors, I enjoy a variety of interests that keep my life balanced and fulfilling. Mathematics, for example, continues to be an engaging pursuit for me. With a Master’s in Maths, I often find myself lost in puzzles and problems that stimulate my logical and analytical thinking.
In terms of physical pursuits, I adore yoga. Its tranquillity helps me stay centered and provides the mental clarity I need to stay creative with my baking ideas.
I also have a keen interest in reading. Books, especially on personal development and entrepreneurship, inspire me and give me a different perspective on life and work. They act as fuel, driving my thoughts and ideas to innovate in my field.
Lastly, I cherish my time with my family. Enjoying life’s simple pleasures with my son and husband, from morning walks to movie nights, brings me the utmost joy. These moments offer the perfect break from the hustle and bustle of life and remind me of what’s truly important.
So, beyond the bakery and oven, you’ll find me immersed in mathematical problems, on my yoga mat, lost in a book, or spending quality time with my family.
You have achieved so much in life, any specific advice you’d like to share with our readers to grow in life?
Life has taught me that growth comes with continuous learning and perseverance. My journey from a novice home baker to an acclaimed entrepreneur has shown me that passion and dedication can break barriers, defy norms, and create magic.
My advice for anyone seeking growth would be: never stop learning. Keep the curiosity of a student alive in you. Every failure is a step towards success, and every challenge is an opportunity to learn. Embrace them.
Secondly, believe in yourself. Your faith in your abilities can help you scale heights you never imagined. I started as a home baker, and with my sheer passion and self-belief, I was able to achieve so much.
Lastly, make a difference. Use your skills not just for personal growth but to contribute to society. I find joy and satisfaction in empowering others with my acquired skills. This sense of purpose fuels my passion and keeps me motivated.
Remember, growth is not just about achieving success; it’s about learning, believing, and making a difference.
